The alien ship landed and the things emerged...
They were about six feet tall, and at a rough classification could have been described as mammalian bipeds. Their forelimbs terminated in digital extremities; they possessed primary optical organs; and the respiratory orifice was subdivided. The oral orifice was provided with an articulated mandible at its lower extremity, and to sum up--insofar as anything as weird as the alien could be summed up--they bore a striking resemblance to homo sapiens. STRANGE.WEIRD.EERIE
Like Alice following the white rabbit, young R. Lionel Fanthorpe went down the badger hole to enter a bizarre world of publishing. For twelve years, the British author cranked out stories for the notoriously penny-pinching publisher, John Spencer & Co., under the imprint of Badger Books.
Learn how those books were written. Read in Fanthorpe's own words what he thinks of them today. Enjoy many humourous excerpts from the Badgers, as well as a full length story. Also included is an introduction from science fiction author and humourist David Langford and a detailed bibliography.
Read this book and be entertained, amused, delighted, put in good humor, be made merry, and have a smile brought to your face!
